man jumped into the Lagos lagoon

what would have occurred in the heart of this man that would have  made him to do such a tragic thing, to his family, friends.. 

A yet to be identified man today Sunday evening, jumped from Third Mainland Bridge into Lagos Lagoon, .the victim, while receiving a phone call, asked his driver to stop the Sport Utility Vehicle they were in.The driver said the victim came out of the vehicle and jumped into the Lagoon.The incident occurred between Adekunle and Adeniji inward Lagos Island.

The driver and the vehicle have been taken to Adeniji Police Station, and officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) are at the scene.
