Willie Obiano to be re-elected as Governor

THE Abia State chapter of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, has commended Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State for what they called his administrative strides in his state and his coordination of the party as the BoT Chairman. 

The party expressed assurance that Obiano would be re-elected in the governorship election coming up later in the year. Chief Willie Obiano Rising from an enlarged meeting of the party leadership held at the party secretariat, in Umuahia, the leaders said they had commenced tour of the 17 local government areas of the state with a view to ensure peace and unity of the members. 

Presided over by the state chairman of the party, it said the ability of the party to consolidate as a formidable opposition in Abia had made the party a virile democratic platform that would ensure that democracy is deepened in the state. According to the leaders, the rebuilding of the party would enable it to remain alive and active in propagating its message of change and good governance, especially at the grass roots. 

The leaders called on those who wished to join the party to visit their wards and offices close to them to enable them register and obtain membership card, saying that the registration has commenced. They also commended the efforts of the National Chairman, Chief Victor Oye in chatting a new course for the party as well as the sustained efforts of the Abia State governorship candidate of the party in the last election, Dr. Alex Otti, saying that his entrance into the party changed the party politics and governance in Abia state for better. 

They passed a vote of confidence on the state Chairman for his disposition and inclusive leadership which they noted has made the party grow from strength to strength.
